Navy Ink Cushion
Inspired by the tones from her favourite artwork this piece was designed and handmade for Donna.
Donna commissioned us to design and create a custom made cushion cover for her lounge room. As she already had the inner cushion and had selected and purchased the velvet fabric, Donna opted to use our BYO Fabric option. Following an initial consultation at our studio, during which we discussed the brief and her budget, we began the design stage. The next step was providing a couple of options and ideas. Donna decided on a design which included a flange and back zipper. The final design for the collection was put forward together with a quotation, and following approval the creative stage began.
This piece was conscientiously created in a high-quality Navy Ink Galena velvet fabric with a 1" flange around the border of the cushion cover. The back of the cushion includes a zipper located 2/3 from the left side, hidden under a fold. Donna's finished cushion cover was presented to her in a drawstring Storage Bag (large enough to store the entire cushion) with a themed pocket in which our hang/care tag outlined the care information, together with the remaining fabric and sample thread.
We trust that this timeless piece, is treasured by Donna and used for many years to come.
